Cy and I's birthday were one week apart and we are full adults now and with our teenage son we can finally relax a little bit. We are high enough in our careers that we each have 3 days off and so we've been able to help Ian with his homework as well as host some of his friends when they come over.
For our birthday we went to go see another movie as that is one of our favorite past times while Ian afterwards got in contact with his babysitter and they went fishing together. It was really nice seeing Davy again as he was a life saver back in the day. I couldn't take off work because we needed the money and Davy did such a good job being Mom and Dad to Ian while Cy and I were working. We welcome Davy into our lives with open arms and we are very happy to find out that he is still a baby sitter. I would recommend him to any of my friends.
Later that evening Ian finally worked up the courage to ask me if he could get a part time job. I was a little leery at first as Ian is not as studious as I was. He tries though! I hardly have to tell him to do his homework so I sternly said "if you can keep your grades up then you can get a part time job. As soon as his grades start slipping though the deal is off.".
Since Ian will be graduating soon Cy and I wanted to take a weekend trip out of town. We have been looking into this wonderful vacation spot called May flower palms. It's so luxurious! There is a pool, and this place is right across from stoney falls. We all need a vacation. We've been saving up and I'm sure we can afford a weekend trip so why not!?
I promise I will tell you all about it :)
